With over 20 years in this crucial role and more than 30 years of experience in public health and epidemiology, Roger has been a steadfast advocate for community health and wellness. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping Blaine County’s public health policies and building a robust healthcare infrastructure.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Roger is a devoted family man. He has been happily married to his wife, Karen Miller, since 1981. Together, they have one daughter, Madelyn, and two grandchildren, Ava and Stewart, who reside in Phoenix, Arizona. Roger's commitment to family is evident in his balanced approach to work and home life.

Did you know that Roger has a passion for literature? In his free time, he enjoys reading fiction books, which allows him to unwind and explore new worlds. He also has a green thumb, spending his leisure hours gardening and landscaping, cultivating beauty in his surroundings. As he approaches his 75th birthday in August, Roger reflects on a fulfilling career dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Blaine County residents.

Roger's journey in public health is marked by significant achievements, including the launch of initiatives that have expanded access to essential services for underserved communities. His emphasis on prevention and education has laid a strong foundation for public health in our county, reducing the incidence of chronic illnesses and enhancing the overall quality of life.
