Christopher "Chris" Eugene Gaston was appointed as the Director of Economic Development by the Board of County Commissioners in January of 2012.

He holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Arizona.
