Daniel Matthew Hotz was appointed as the Director of Airport Operations of the Sandy Shores Airfield by the Board of County Commissioners in January of 2018. 

Under Hotz’s leadership, Sandy Shores Airfield has undergone substantial improvements, particularly in the areas of safety and efficiency. One of his first initiatives as Director was to overhaul the airport’s safety protocols, implementing an upgraded safety management system that has significantly reduced operational incidents and streamlined response times.
